Sharing about his health condition, Tuan Hung said that he had to go to the hospital for minor surgery because a lymph node was discovered in his vocal cords. The male singer also expressed his gratitude to his friends and fans for their concern and inquiries.
Not long before that, Tuan Hung also shared about having problems with his throat. He said his throat was swollen and sore, affecting his singing voice and forcing him to cancel a show.
In recent days, Tuan Hung has received much attention for his decision to shave his head bald to pray for his mother's health. His mother is ill and being treated at the Hanoi Oncology Hospital.
He expressed: "Those who love me truly love me. Those who say otherwise are also opportunities for me to learn not to hold grudges. I'm not doing this for applause. I'm doing it for a woman who has loved and sacrificed her whole life for me. And I also tell myself to maintain my composure and unwavering faith from within."
Tuan Hung said he has decided to become a Buddhist monk, with the aspiration to find solace in Buddhism and spend more time with his family.
"I'm just learning how to cultivate my thoughts and my steps. I just want to get closer to myself, to strive for self-cultivation and pray for my mother's health. Whether they understand or not, I care about them. Because they are different from me, they don't have the same thoughts as I do now," the singer added.
