At noon on June 26th, speaking with a reporter from Thanh Nien newspaper , Mr. Dang Van Hai (32 years old, residing in Phu Cat District, Binh Dinh Province - the person who filmed the whale hunting off the coast of Quy Nhon) said that at around 4 PM on June 25th, while taking photos of seaweed in Nhon Hai commune (Quy Nhon City), he accidentally encountered a whale more than 10 meters long surfacing to hunt.

According to Hai, at the time he spotted the whale, several people who were with him also witnessed the event. Afterwards, these people used a canoe to go out to sea and film the moment the whale hunted.

"The sight of the whale hunting near the shore was very impressive, with a flock of seagulls circling above its head. After I posted the clip and photos on Facebook, many people showed interest and enthusiasm," Hai shared.

According to an expert from the Center for Biodiversity and Endangered Species Conservation (CBES), during this season, the waters of Binh Dinh province have abundant food sources, are less overfished, and the water is clearer and cleaner than in many other places, so whales often come here to hunt.
