Import and export activities at border gates along the Vietnam-China border in the days leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year) were generally stable, with a large volume of vehicles but no unusual congestion.
On January 29th, the total number of vehicles carrying import and export goods through the border gates of Lang Son province reached nearly 2,000, with imported vehicles accounting for a high proportion – reflecting the increased demand for two-way trade during the peak season at the end of the year. The number of vehicles waiting at the border gate area was at a normal level, not causing significant pressure on the terminals.
At key border gates such as Huu Nghi, Tan Thanh, and Chi Ma, traffic management and customs clearance are implemented flexibly. Several procedural steps have been improved to shorten processing times, contributing to maintaining smooth customs clearance.
Overall, the import and export situation at border gates has remained stable, meeting the needs of businesses and minimizing the risk of congestion during the peak period before Tet.
