Football Meets Data has released the latest data showing that the nine Premier League teams have earned a combined total of €667 million in prize money from UEFA, the highest among all countries participating in European competitions this season.
Leading the list is Arsenal with prize money totaling €143.2 million. Reaching the UEFA Champions League final made the Gunners the highest-earning club in Europe this season. (Manager Mikel Arteta)
Following closely behind Arsenal are other English representatives in the Champions League, including Liverpool with €109.5 million in revenue, while Manchester City earned €97 million despite not progressing as far as expected. Chelsea also had a significant income of €92.1 million, and Tottenham received €84.4 million.
The other Premier League representative in the Champions League, Newcastle, also pocketed €64.4 million. This is an impressive figure, even though the "Magpies" couldn't progress further. Notably, all English football representatives advanced beyond the group stage of the tournament.
In the Europa League, Aston Villa earned €35 million for reaching the final. Nottingham Forest followed with €24.1 million. Meanwhile, in the Conference League, Crystal Palace also brought in €17.4 million by reaching the final match.
This season has seen the dominance of English football in continental competitions. The fact that Premier League representatives have reached all three European cup finals is unprecedented.
Last season, English football came very close to reaching this milestone when Chelsea won the Conference League and Tottenham triumphed in the Europa League. However, Arsenal, then the last remaining English representative in the Champions League, were eliminated by PSG in the semi-finals.
