Anti-erosion embankments speed up to finish on time

In recent days, the construction unit of the project to overcome and prevent landslides on the banks of Lien Chieu River (section through Pho Thuan commune, Duc Pho town, Quang Ngai province) is urgently completing the items according to the design.

This project has a total investment of 25 billion VND, starting from July 18, 2024.

The embankment is nearly 800m long but the riverbed is narrow, the volume of clearance and dredging is large, plus the small residential road makes it difficult to mobilize vehicles... are some of the disadvantages encountered when implementing the project.

To date, the construction progress has reached 75% of the volume. Of which, the entire embankment retaining wall and reinforced rock cage arrangement, and flow clearance have been completed before October 5, 2024.

According to the plan, the embankment embankment reinforcement will be completed before October 30, 2024; the residential road will be restored and the entire project will be completed before November 15, 2024.

When completed, this project will protect the riverbank, land and property on land of about 160 households and traffic works in the residential area of ​​Pho Thuan commune. At the same time, it will contribute to creating landscape and protecting the environment of the project area.

Meanwhile, the project to overcome and prevent landslides on the banks of the Lien River (section through Ba Thanh commune, Ba To district) is also being accelerated to meet the deadline.

This project has a total investment of 14 billion VND, invested in construction with the goal of protecting the riverbank, land and property on land of about 34 households and traffic works in residential areas of Ba Thanh commune.

Besides, it contributes to completing the infrastructure of the project area to stabilize people's lives and promote local socio -economic development.

Currently, the project has completed about 80% of the volume.

According to the investor representative (Quang Ngai Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board), thanks to the active participation of local authorities and support from the people, the problems with the site have been basically resolved.

The investor requested the contractor to increase equipment and materials and work at night to complete this emergency project in 2024.
