The anti-erosion embankment projects are accelerating their efforts to meet the deadline.

In recent days, the construction unit of the project to remedy and prevent erosion along the Lien Chieu riverbank (the section passing through Pho Thuan commune, Duc Pho town, Quang Ngai province) has been urgently completing the items according to the design.

This project has a total investment of 25 billion VND and commenced construction on July 18, 2024.

The project faced several disadvantages, including a nearly 800m long embankment, a narrow riverbed, a large volume of clearing and dredging work, and small access roads, making it difficult to mobilize equipment.

To date, construction progress has reached 75% of the total volume. This includes the completion of all retaining wall and gabion reinforcement works, as well as clearing the waterway, before October 5, 2024.

According to the plan, the embankment slope reinforcement will be completed before October 30, 2024; the local road will be restored and the entire project completed before November 15, 2024.

Upon completion, this project will protect the riverbanks, land, and property of approximately 160 households, as well as transportation infrastructure in the residential area of ​​Pho Thuan commune. Simultaneously, it will contribute to improving the landscape and protecting the environment in the project area.

Meanwhile, the project to remedy and prevent erosion along the Lien River (the section passing through Ba Thanh commune, Ba To district) is also accelerating to meet the deadline.

This project has a total investment of 14 billion VND and is being built with the goal of protecting the riverbanks, land, and assets on the land of approximately 34 households, as well as transportation infrastructure in the residential area of ​​Ba Thanh commune.

In addition, it contributes to improving the infrastructure of the project area to stabilize the lives of the people and promote socio -economic development in the locality.

Currently, the construction is approximately 80% complete.

According to the investor's representative (Quang Ngai Province's Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transportation Works), thanks to the active involvement of the local government and the support of the people, the obstacles related to land acquisition have been largely resolved.

The investor requested the contractor to increase equipment and materials, and to work even at night to finish this urgent project definitively in 2024.
