For the past four months, news and images of the training sessions, rehearsals, and four combined rehearsals of the parade forces on mass media and social networks have sparked widespread interest among people both domestically and internationally. This preliminary rehearsal was the first to be held at Ba Dinh Square, in the heart of the capital city.
This was the first time the people could witness firsthand the majestic marching formations of soldiers, the dignified troops advancing in formation.
There will be six forces participating in the parade, including: the traditional torch relay and ceremonial fire honor guard; ceremonial artillery; air salute; military parade (including 4 ceremonial blocks; 43 blocks representing the people's armed forces, of which 26 are handled by the Army and 17 by the Ministry of Public Security ); and supporting forces, including the ceremonial honor guard, 11 army blocks and 7 police blocks, and forces forming shapes and letters.

On the evening of August 20th, despite the rain, many groups of people wearing raincoats and carrying umbrellas gathered around Ba Dinh Square to admire the newly renovated spacious area.
From the afternoon of August 21st, along the streets of Hanoi , leading to Ba Dinh Square, large crowds of people gathered to witness the vivid images and realistic sounds of the parade and march. Many wore T-shirts printed with the five-pointed star, holding red flags with yellow stars, or the national flag, symbolizing glory and victory.

The marching contingent practiced enthusiastically.

Many "old soldiers with gray hair," impeccably dressed in their uniforms, with gleaming ranks, insignia, and medals on their shoulders and chests as proof of years of marching and fighting, their faces beaming with contentment amidst the crowd of young people, evoked an image of the transmission and continuation of the tradition of fighting to defend the country.

Families whose homes are located along the street have been tidying up to get the best view of the parade and procession. Many even arranged for friends, relatives, and comrades to come and "watch the parade," sharing the joy together.
