Loc Phat Vietnam Bank ( LPBank ) has just announced the minutes of its 2024 extraordinary general meeting of shareholders, in which it approved a proposal to change the location of the bank's head office.
Previously, the Board of Directors of LPBank sought shareholder approval to change the location of its head office, arguing that this would enhance the bank's image, brand, and position, thereby promoting strong, efficient, dynamic, and professional business development.
In the shareholder meeting presentation, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of LPBank, stated that the basis for proposing the relocation of LPBank's head office to another location is in line with the bank's development orientation, creating conditions for the bank to expand its market, especially increasing its presence in rural areas and type 2 urban areas…
LPBank is a bank whose plan to relocate its head office was approved by its 2024 extraordinary general meeting of shareholders.
LPBank plans to relocate its current head office from LPB Tower, 210 Tran Quang Khai Street, Trang Tien Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi to another location within Vietnam – in line with the bank's short-term, medium-term, and long-term development strategy.
The specific location for LPBank's head office will be decided solely by LPBank's Board of Directors, ensuring that it meets all the conditions for safe and efficient operation as stipulated by the competent state management agencies.
LPBank is not the first bank to plan a relocation of its headquarters this year.
Previously, in a presentation to the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders scheduled for November 28th, the Board of Directors of Vietnam Export Import Bank (Eximbank) expressed its desire to change the location of the bank's head office from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi.
Eximbank's headquarters are located in the Vincom Center building, 72 Le Thanh Ton Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Eximbank's Board of Directors, the bank is currently investing heavily in technology and flexibly implementing solutions based on a new mindset regarding customer and market engagement. Besides continuing to strengthen its position in the Southern market, Eximbank recognizes the North as a dynamic market with significant potential for development. The bank aims to expand its distribution network and reach potential customers in this region to seize market opportunities, thereby increasing revenue, profits, and brand influence.
" The relocation of Eximbank's headquarters to Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, is a strategic step for the bank to expand its operations and continuously reach further, in order to meet the changing dynamics of the market and help implement its business strategy effectively, " the Board of Directors' proposal stated.
As of September 30, 2024, Eximbank's operational network comprised 215 branches and transaction offices nationwide.
