British University Vietnam (BUV) has received QS 5-star and QAA certifications thanks to its efforts in improving the quality of education, facilities, and technology application.
These are two prestigious international certifications that rigorously assess the quality of higher education . BUV received the QS 5-star certification in 2022. QS Stars is part of the Quacquerelli Symonds accreditation system, a scale of educational quality recognized by renowned universities worldwide.
The system evaluates higher education institutions based on eight groups of standards, over 50 criteria, and predefined international standards. From this, the organization scores the prestige of a university based on factors such as teaching quality, facilities, social responsibility, research, and international diversity. BUV achieved a comprehensive 5-star rating in the following criteria: Teaching quality, Employment opportunities, Academic development, Facilities, Social activities, and Equality/Inclusion.

Earlier this year, BUV continued to receive the QAA certification from the UK's Higher Education Quality Assurance Agency. To achieve QAA certification, universities must undergo a rigorous International Quality Assessment (IQR) process based on a list of 10 categories and international quality assurance standards of the United Kingdom.
BUV is the first and only university in Vietnam, and one of only 22 institutions outside the UK, to receive this accreditation. The university achieved outstanding results across 10 accreditation categories and was recognized for its exceptional academic activities in three areas: Employer and Social Networking, Student Support for Work and Internships, and Personal Development.
Representatives from the university affirmed that, to achieve these accomplishments, BUV has consistently pursued the goal of training a generation of outstanding graduates who are highly valued by society, possess good character, are kind, caring, and proficient in interdisciplinary work skills, creative thinking, and a proactive spirit.
The university enhances the quality of teaching through investment in facilities and the application of technology in training. BUV has developed the Personal Development and Social Skills Program (PSG) to encourage students to accumulate experience and skills through activities in four areas: Job and career preparation; Leadership and networking skills; Social, cultural, and emotional competence; and Academic support and enhancement.
