CAHN loses important striker before AFC Champions League Two

CAHN's main striker Alan Grafite suffered a calf injury, right before the opening match of AFC Champions League Two 2025/26.

Alan has a calf injury and is likely to miss the match against Beijing.

The information was confirmed by coach Mano Polking at a press conference after the 2-1 victory over Hai Phong in the early match of round 6 of V.League 2025/26. In this match, the Brazilian striker was not on the registered list. However, CAHN still won 3 points when defeating their opponent with a score of 2-1.

Also in the match, Quang Hai continued to show his outstanding role when he opened the score for the police team. However, he had to leave the field in the middle of the second half after showing signs of pain.

Coach Polking explained that this was a decision to save his players' energy before the busy match schedule. The midfielder born in 1997 had not previously participated in the Vietnam national team gathering due to muscle strain from continuous hard work.

After the match against Hai Phong, CAHN will travel to China to prepare for the match against Beijing Guoan - the strongest opponent in Group E, AFC Champions League Two 2025/26. Coach Polking emphasized: “The match will be very difficult because Beijing Guoan is a strong team, rich in experience and has depth. However, we are also in good form and high spirits after positive results in V.League. CAHN will enter the field with careful preparation and the best mentality”.

The absence of Alan Grafite will certainly have a big impact on CAHN's attack, as the Brazilian striker is the main striker in the attacking system.
