A 1-month-old baby boy was abandoned in front of a house in Le Ich Moc ward.

A baby boy about 1 month old was discovered in front of a house in Le Ich Moc ward (Hai Phong), next to a box of milk, some baby clothes and a handwritten note.

According to the leader of the People's Committee of Le Ich Moc Ward ( Hai Phong ), at about 7:15 p.m. on September 12, Mr. NVP (born in 1984) and his wife discovered a baby boy placed in a plastic basket near the gate of Mr. NVH's house in Hop Thanh 6 Residential Group. Next to it was a box of milk, some baby clothes and a handwritten note.

The note read: "Because I was young and made a mistake, I gave birth to a child. I am not able to raise the child. Thanks to your family for raising me, I will be grateful for the rest of my life. I promise I will never come back to claim the child."

The writer did not write his name, did not set a return date, only asked to raise the child and promised to never ask for it back.

The piece of paper asked for custody of the child.

Immediately after receiving the news, local authorities and Le Ich Moc Ward Police quickly arrived at the scene to handle the incident and took the boy to the Ward Health Station for care.

Through initial examination, the baby boy is about 1 month old, weighs 4.5 kg, and is in stable health. He is currently being monitored and temporarily cared for at a local medical facility.

The People's Committee of Le Ich Moc Ward has issued a notice, calling on the boy's relatives or biological parents to contact the authorities soon to complete the necessary procedures.

If after 7 days from September 13th no one comes to claim, the locality will proceed with birth registration procedures and follow the law.
