Vietnam's number one tennis player Nguyen Thuy Linh (ranked 18th in the world ) is theoretically rated higher than Cao Yanyan (ranked 107th in the world). At the same time, Nguyen Thuy Linh also has the advantage of playing on home ground.

However, in reality, Cai Yanyan is very experienced internationally. The Chinese tennis player was ranked 14th in the world. The reason she has dropped quite a bit in the rankings recently is because of a long period of absence due to injury.

In the final match this afternoon with Nguyen Thuy Linh, Cai Yanyan played better. With very good shots, Cai Yanyan forced the home player to have difficulties, before Cai Yanyan won 21-17 in the first set, leading 1-0.
