Functional forces were mobilized to work through the night to fix the serious incident at km1136+850 to km1136+925 in the Phuoc Lanh - Van Canh section.
Hundreds of workers, hundreds of tons of embankment materials, boulders, machinery and equipment were moved to this location to restore the roadbed. By this morning, November 8, the problem had been basically resolved and traffic could be resumed.
However, Vietnam Railways Corporation said that due to the impact of storm No. 13, at this time, on the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line through the Central region, there are still many sections that are deeply flooded, many railway sections have had their rock foundations washed away, and many signal communication equipment is paralyzed due to flooding.
Currently, the railway industry is concentrating its forces in 3 shifts, 4 crews to fix the damaged locations, while waiting for the water to recede for repairs. It is expected that in 2 more days, the North - South railway will be able to reopen the entire line.
