Huong Giang entered the top 3 votes, has a chance to go straight to the top 30

(Dan Tri) - Vietnam's representative - Huong Giang - is in the top 3 candidates leading the "Most Favorite Candidate" vote at Miss Universe 2025. The winner will go straight to the top 30 finalists.

According to the latest update from the Miss Universe Organization (MUO), the top 3 contestants in the People's Choice are Ivory Coast, Dominican Republic and Vietnam. The next positions belong to Chile, Philippines, Haiti, Botswana, Nicaragua and Bangladesh.

This voting will last until 11pm on November 19.

Previously, Huong Giang was in the top 10 of the “Special Dinner and Chat” voting launched by the Miss Universe Thailand Organization (MUT). However, MUO later canceled the voting results because they considered the activity outside the framework of the official contest.

Huong Giang’s journey to the Miss Universe 2025 pageant was not very smooth. This year’s contest took place with many controversies about the organization, causing international media and celebrities to speak out in criticism.

In addition, the limited appearance of Huong Giang's image on MUO's official Facebook page also caused controversy. However, the Vietnamese representative still maintained a calm, professional and delicate attitude, receiving many compliments from domestic and international audiences.

Nguyen Huong Giang was announced as Vietnam's representative at Miss Universe 2025 in September. According to the Miss Universe Vietnam Organization, she is a testament to the resilience and talent of modern Vietnamese women.

“In every role, from singer, actress, model to MC, judge or producer, Huong Giang shines with strong inner strength and national pride,” the organization representative shared.

The selection of Huong Giang was a big surprise, because she was the first transgender beauty officially sent by Vietnam to participate in Miss Universe. This year, she is also the only transgender contestant among 122 contestants from all over the world .

In a recent interview with MUO, Huong Giang expressed: “I hope to spread positive energy so that international friends can better understand the beauty of Vietnamese women - beautiful, friendly and strong. I want to bring pride to those who always love and support my journey.”

The Miss Universe 2025 pageant will take place from November 2 to November 21 in Thailand, gathering 122 contestants. According to predictions from international beauty sites, Huong Giang is likely to make it into the top 20, however, the journey to conquer the crown is still considered challenging as the quality of this year's contestants is very even.
