On November 9, Variety reported that actor Jeremy Renner officially denied harassment allegations made by Yi Zhou, a Chinese director and filmmaker.
According to the accusation, Yi Zhou said Jeremy sent her sensitive private photos and made her lock herself in her room out of fear during one meeting. However, Jeremy's representative confirmed to Variety : "These allegations are completely false."
Yi Zhou said the two had known each other since June, when Jeremy “continually sent lewd messages” and “verbally seduced her.” During an August meeting to discuss the documentary Chronicles of Disney , she said the actor drank a bottle of wine and became aggressive, forcing her to run away.
The two have collaborated on several projects, including Stardust Future: Stars and Scars , an AI-powered animated film in which Jeremy provided voice acting. Variety reports the film is scheduled to be released in November.
