Gia Lai Provincial Military Command provides clean water and gifts to people affected by storm No. 13

(GLO)- On the morning of November 9, the Gia Lai Provincial Military Command mobilized 3 tank trucks, each with a capacity of 14 m³, to transport clean water from Binh Dinh Water Supply and Drainage Joint Stock Company to provide free water to people in communes and wards lacking domestic water in the province.

After storm No. 13, many areas in the province lost power; the domestic water system stopped working, making people's lives difficult.

According to the plan, the Provincial Military Command will deploy clean water supply points for people in Quy Nhon ward, Tuy Phuoc Bac commune, Tuy Phuoc Dong commune, Ayun Pa ward - where more than 80% of households are lacking domestic water.

Implementing the direction of Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc, the Provincial Military Command directed Cat Khanh Border Guard Station to organize food and accommodation for 24 households living in the coastal fishing village at the end of An Quang Dong hamlet (De Gi commune) whose houses collapsed, walls cracked, roofs blown off, and properties swept away by waves.

In addition, the Provincial Military Command provided each household with 50 kg of rice, 500,000 VND in cash, and clothes, books, and school supplies for students.

On the same day, in Tuy Phuoc commune, Colonel Nguyen Van Du - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command presented 20 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND and 1 million VND in cash to 20 families affected by storm No. 13.

Colonel Nguyen Van Du expressed his deep sympathy for the people's losses; at the same time, he hoped that the local government would continue to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and soon stabilize their lives.
