Support for bus driver suspected of having a stroke on the highway

A bus driver showed signs of a stroke while traveling on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, passing through Dong Nai province, and was given timely assistance.

The driver showed signs of a stroke while driving on the highway and was promptly taken to the emergency room by the traffic police.

On the morning of November 8, the Working Group of Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6, Road Traffic Control Patrol Guidance Department (Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security ) promptly coordinated to support the emergency evacuation of driver HVM (53 years old, residing in Lam Dong province) to the hospital.

Accordingly, at about 10:00 a.m. the same day, the working group received a report from the patrol force of Vietnam Expressway Technical Services Joint Stock Company that driver HVM driving the passenger bus with license plate 86B-011.48 to Km25+350 (in Long Thanh commune, Dong Nai province) showed signs of losing control, suspected of having a stroke.

The working group quickly moved to the scene, diverted traffic, ensured safety for other vehicles traveling on the highway and approached the passenger bus.

After checking, the traffic police determined that the driver had signs of a stroke, so they provided first aid and then contacted Long Thanh Regional General Hospital to dispatch a specialized ambulance for emergency treatment.

Thanks to timely coordination, the driver is now out of danger.
