According to admissions experts, the registration and adjustment of preferences are crucial deadlines. If candidates miss these deadlines, their chances of getting into university will be very difficult, especially getting into their dream universities.
Pay attention to the "golden time" milestones.
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training regarding the registration of university admission preferences for 2025, registration will begin from July 16th until 5 PM on that day.
On July 28th, candidates will begin registering, adjusting, and adding their preferences. Candidates can register an unlimited number of times and preferences until 5 PM on July 28th. During this time, candidates have the right to access the system to change their information if they wish. However, after this time, the Ministry of Education and Training's admissions system will close to filter out fraudulent preferences and officially begin the admissions process, so candidates will no longer have the right to change their information.
Associate Professor Dr. Mai Hai Chau, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Branch of the University of Forestry:
Students from Dong Nai studying at schools in Dong Nai will save a lot of money.
Currently, universities in Dong Nai have good facilities, diverse training programs, and increasingly improved training quality. Students from Dong Nai studying at universities in Dong Nai will save a lot of money, especially due to convenient transportation, and tuition fees are quite competitive compared to universities in Ho Chi Minh City.
During the application process, candidates should note that if even one application is accepted, the Ministry of Education and Training's admissions system will stop considering the remaining applications. Therefore, candidates must prioritize their applications logically, placing the most important one as first, followed by the others. It is crucial to adhere to the deadlines for registration, application adjustments, application fee payment, and enrollment confirmation as clearly stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training to avoid missing deadlines and jeopardizing their chances of admission.
Besides the initial deadlines for registration, additions, and adjustments to preferences, candidates need to pay attention to several subsequent deadlines. Accordingly, after the registration period ends, candidates should pay the online application fee from July 29th to 5 PM on August 5th. Candidates only need an online bank account and can scan the QR code to make the payment. In cases where candidates do not have a bank account, they can request assistance using their parents' or relatives' accounts.
Paying attention to deadlines and registration procedures is crucial, even if candidates have a high chance of being accepted. After receiving the acceptance results, candidates still need to complete the final step of confirming their enrollment on the system. If a candidate fails to confirm their enrollment, their chances of being accepted will drop to zero.
For candidates who did not have the opportunity to be admitted to their first choice, it should be noted that after the announcement of the first choice, many schools may continue to consider second-choice applications, especially private universities.
What options do candidates in Dong Nai have?
Following the merger of the former Binh Phuoc province with the former Dong Nai province to form the new Dong Nai province, the opportunities for students to apply for university admissions have expanded. The province now has seven universities and university branches, as well as several military and police schools located in Tam Phuoc ward. In addition to universities, Dong Nai also has more than 10 colleges and vocational schools, primarily in technical and technological fields, meeting the diverse training needs of students.
Following the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units, Dong Nai province now has the second largest number of universities and colleges, after Ho Chi Minh City. Many universities, such as Dong Nai University, Lac Hong University, Dong Nai University of Technology, Eastern University of Technology, and the Dong Nai branch of the University of Forestry, are ready to welcome students applying for admission with various methods including: admission based on aptitude test scores, high school graduation exam scores, and academic transcripts. It is projected that universities and colleges in Dong Nai will admit over 10,000 students in the 2025 enrollment season.
According to Nguyen Van Ly, Vice Rector of Dong Nai University, the admissions process at Dong Nai University differs from other universities in the province. The university is awaiting regulations regarding the minimum admission threshold for teacher training programs. These programs require not only a minimum entrance score but also a good or excellent academic record. For non-teacher training programs, the university will conduct admissions as usual, considering academic transcripts, high school graduation exam scores, and aptitude test scores.

Accompanying new students To welcome new students in 2025, the school is preparing the necessary conditions, including policies to award scholarships, provide free dormitory accommodation, and offer skills training courses. To alleviate the financial burden of tuition fees, the school commits to a single tuition fee for all subsequent academic years. This policy will reduce the financial burden on students and their parents. Furthermore, the school will support students in finding part-time jobs to supplement their income, improve their learning conditions, enhance their skills, and increase their chances of future employment. Student NGUYEN VAN NAM DOAN, University of Technology (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City): Career choices determine your future. Two years ago, I decided to apply to the Chemical Engineering program at the University of Technology (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City). It was a very serious decision, made since the beginning of my 11th grade year. Thanks to this right decision, I found inspiration and passion for learning, and I improved my academic performance each year. I learned that choosing a career determines your future, so seriousness and commitment are essential. Mr. NGUYEN VAN KHOI (residing in Binh Minh commune): Parents only provide guidance, children make the decisions. Throughout the process of my three children choosing their majors for university, I always respected their decisions. I always researched information to guide them towards fields that suited their strengths, personalities, and passions. On the other hand, I guided them towards universities with tuition fees that were within our family's income. For example, in my family, it would be very difficult and unaffordable for all my children to attend private universities. |
