
Ship HP 6302 requested the Coast Guard to assist in transporting people to the nearest shore to take the patient to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Immediately after receiving information about the incident, the Regional Command mobilized CSB 603 boat (operating about 2 nautical miles from HP 6302 ship) to quickly approach and provide support.
15 minutes later, CSB 603 boat approached the cargo ship and coordinated with the crew on board to urgently transport the patient to the boat to run to shore.
Through the situation, it is known that the cargo ship HP 6302 has 9 crew members, captained by Mr. Tran Huu Thuan, 57 years old, from Hai Phong. While on the way to transport goods from An Giang to Hai Phong, when reaching buoy area number 15 of Lach Huyen channel, a sailor, Mr. Truong Ri Na, 39 years old, from An Trach commune, Ca Mau province, suffered a stroke and was paralyzed in all four limbs.
At 8:40 a.m., CSB 603 boat transported the patient and 3 crew members of HP 63002 to Got wharf area in Cat Hai special zone (about 3 nautical miles), then assisted in transferring them to a taxi (hired by HP 6302) to take them to Vietnam - Czech Friendship Hospital for emergency treatment.
