The Da Nang Department of Education and Training has just announced the 10th grade enrollment plan for the 2023-2024 school year. The Da Nang high school entrance exam schedule will take place from June 6-7.
Specifically, 10th grade enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year in Da Nang will be based on a combination of admission and entrance exams.
Each candidate can register for a maximum of 2 admission wishes to grade 10 at a public high school. Candidates can change their admission wishes to grade 10 at a public high school by writing a change of admission form and submitting it at the place where they submitted their application.

| How to calculate admission scores for grade 10. |
Admission method includes entrance exam combined with admission review. Admission score calculation: Based on the results of conduct and academic performance classification of 4 years of secondary school.
If a student is held back in a grade, the results of the year in which the grade is repeated will be used; if a test is required to move up a grade or conduct training is required during the summer, the classification results will be used after the test or training.
Candidates take 3 subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language.
In which, Math and Literature are in essay form, Foreign Language is in essay form combined with multiple choice. Exam time: Literature, Math: 120 minutes/subject; Foreign Language: 90 minutes.
The entrance exam schedule for grade 10 high school in Da Nang will take place over 2 days, from June 6-7. On June 6, the morning exam will be Literature, and the afternoon exam will be Foreign Language. On June 7, the morning exam will be Math. Candidates taking the specialized subject exam will take the exam on the morning of June 8.

The test score is the sum of the component scores of each question in the test, the test score is on a 10-point scale, and the score is rounded to the second decimal place.
Math and Literature exams have coefficient 2, Foreign Language exams have coefficient 1.
The content of the exam is within the scope of the secondary school program issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, mainly in grade 9. The exam ensures the program content, is accurate, clear, differentiates students' levels, and is suitable for the time for each subject.
Each subject has an official exam and a backup exam with similar requirements, content, and time.
Admission score = Math score x 2 + Literature score x 2 + Foreign language score + Total score of conduct and study results of 4 years of secondary school + Priority points (if any).
Admission principles: Only consider candidates who take all 3 exams (Literature, Math, Foreign Language) and the score of each exam is greater than 0; The standard score of each school in the first and second choices is equal;
Candidates are considered for admission based on their first choice first, then their second choice. If they have passed their first choice, their second choice will not be considered; Admission is based on the principle of taking scores from high to low to meet the enrollment quota.
The Department of Education and Training noted that units and schools should maintain teaching and reviewing; pay attention to practicing test-taking skills, familiarizing themselves with the types of questions and exam questions from previous years; support and encourage students to prepare in the best way for the upcoming exams. Drawing on experience from previous exams, teachers reminded students to follow the exam rules and regulations; especially to do the exam on the correct paper for the candidate's answer, write the answer in the specified box for each part of the foreign language exam (candidates who do not write in the correct box will not have their answer scored); candidates taking the Japanese exam are not allowed to use pencils to do the exam.
