Carlos Tevez attracted attention by using his day off to go trekking in Champaqui, showcasing his impressive fitness level despite turning 42.

Carlos Tevez continues to attract attention in Argentina, but this time not on the pitch. The former star striker recently had a memorable trekking trip to Champaqui Mountain, the highest mountain in Cordoba province.

Currently managing Talleres de Cordoba, Tevez took advantage of his days off to join his wife, friends, and some close associates of the club on a mountain climbing trip in the Traslasierra area.

According to Juan Russo, a representative of the Eco Champaqui Turismo organizing unit, Tevez made a strong impression thanks to his excellent physical condition and positive spirit throughout the trip.

"Carlos is fantastic. He's very fit, always focused, and really enjoys being in nature," Russo shared.

Due to limited time after Talleres' match last weekend, Tevez's group did not attempt to conquer the entire 2,790m peak, opting instead for the "half Champaqui" route. Even so, they still climbed to an altitude of approximately 2,200m.

The entire trek is 12 km long, starting from San Javier. The group took about 3 hours to climb up and a similar amount of time to descend.

According to the coordinator, this route still requires considerable physical fitness, especially when moving in a large group at varying paces. However, all members completed the objective safely.

Besides his physical prowess, Tevez is also praised for his approachable and humble demeanor.

"He was very friendly, listened to all instructions, and connected well with everyone in the group," Russo added.

The cloudy weather meant the trip wasn't entirely perfect, but it also motivated Tevez and the others to return in the future.
