Malaysia coach Peter Cklamovski said the home team has the best preparation ahead of the crucial match with Vietnam in Group F, the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup: "Everything, from physicality to tactics, is on track. Malaysia is building to become a classy team. There are still many steps to go, but with the current situation, I am very happy with the initial results.
The team's performance improved well, with a 1-1 draw with Cape Verde on 29 May and then a rematch with the same opponents on 3 June. 30 players were used effectively, in three 30-minute periods. It was a real test. Then some new faces appeared."

"The match against Vietnam is very important to us. The Malaysian team prepared very carefully, the players are eager to compete at Bukit Jalil and make the whole country proud. I am satisfied with the efforts and dedication of the players. Although there has been a lot of negative information on social networks recently, it did not affect the match against Vietnam . I am happy that the players are ready to do what I want," said coach Peter Cklamovski.
Before the match, the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) faced a wave of fierce opposition from regional fans when they called up 5 naturalized players of foreign origin to the national team. However, FAM affirmed that they did not care about the criticism, because the goal that the Malaysian team wanted to achieve was to defeat the Vietnamese team after 11 years without a win.

"The Malaysian players are not distracted by opinions from social networks or experts. We are well prepared. Some players from abroad have just arrived with pride. Everyone will see their pride when training, building a family atmosphere in the Malaysian team. I want them to show more in the match against the Vietnamese team," coach Peter Cklamovski affirmed.
"We build a winning mentality in every match. One detail is that Malaysia has not won against Vietnam for the past 11 years. Instead of being afraid, the team sees it as a challenge. I want them to grasp and create history tomorrow. The opportunity is right in front of them, let's grasp it," the Australian strategist concluded.
The match between Vietnam and Malaysia will kick off at 8:00 p.m. on June 10 at Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
