The revealed kit is the official Chelsea design for the 2026/27 season. |
Chelsea have yet to unveil their new kit for the 2026/27 season, but images believed to be the official design have quickly sparked controversy in England. According to FootyHeadlines , a well-known source specializing in revealing football kits, Chelsea's new home kit will feature bold changes under the design direction of Nike.
The most striking detail lies in the logo. Chelsea's familiar lion emblem no longer appears in the traditional circular badge but is instead positioned separately, enlarged, and placed on the left side of the chest.
Not only has the logo changed position, but it has also switched to a bright yellow color instead of the familiar blue. The Nike logo also uses the same color tone, accompanied by two yellow stripes running down the body of the shirt.
Additionally, the center of the shirt features a large, faded Chelsea logo, making the overall design completely different from the London team's previous jerseys.
Immediately after the images went viral on social media, many Chelsea fans expressed their disappointment. "It can't be real, it looks horrible," one fan wrote.
Another fan described the shirt as a "disaster," while many others commented that the new design looked more like a "pajama shirt" than a football jersey. Some even sarcastically remarked that the shirt "fits Chelsea's poor run of form."
Interim manager Calum McFarlane's team ended a six-match winless streak with a 1-1 draw against Liverpool on May 9th.
On May 16th, Chelsea will face Manchester City in the FA Cup final, with the opportunity to win the trophy and salvage some hope among fans after a disappointing season.
