Ferrari CEO: Luce is receiving "strong interest".
The electric car, priced at around 550,000 Euros (approximately 640,000 USD ), quickly became the focus of controversy on social media due to its design being considered too different from Ferrari's traditional DNA, as well as the decision to shift towards purely electric vehicles instead of the internal combustion engines that had made the brand famous.

Many online opinions suggest that the Luce "doesn't look like a Ferrari," even comparing it to mainstream EVs on the market, especially those from China.
Speaking at an event in Modena, Benedetto Vigna dismissed the criticism and asserted that customer feedback had been very positive. The CEO said: "There has been strong interest, including from new customers."

Mr. Vigna argued that much of the criticism stems from the public not having directly experienced the car. He also denied claims that the Ferrari Luce is a copy of other EVs on the market, including Chinese electric vehicles.
The CEO emphasized that the Ferrari Luce is merely an addition to the current product range, rather than a complete replacement for gasoline-powered models. According to him, Ferrari will continue to develop internal combustion and hybrid models in the future.
