Spring has arrived throughout the homeland. With the spirit of "Enjoying spring, celebrating Tet, and maintaining high combat readiness," the police, military, and border guard forces of the province have not only meticulously taken care of Tet celebrations for officers, soldiers, and the people, but have also strengthened combat readiness, preventing any passive or unexpected situations. This contributes to maintaining political stability, social order, and security, ensuring that people can enjoy a peaceful and warm Lunar New Year celebration in 2024.

Launching a high-intensity campaign to combat and suppress crime and protect security and order for the people celebrating the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024 starting from mid-December 2023, units under the Provincial Police have focused intensely on patrolling and controlling the area, proactively implementing measures and solutions to prevent and combat various types of crime, especially crimes related to "loan sharking," crimes involving the use of weapons and explosives, robbery, extortion, theft, and fraud; illegal manufacturing, production, sale, storage, transportation, and use of fireworks; drug-related crimes and social vices; and proactively gathering information, preventing, and thwarting the subversive plots and activities of hostile and reactionary forces. In particular, to ensure public order and traffic safety during the Tet holiday, when the increased demand for travel, trade, and commerce poses many risks of traffic accidents and congestion, the Traffic Police force of the Provincial Public Security Department is implementing many solutions to ensure traffic order so that people can enjoy the spring festival and celebrate Tet safely. Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Ngoc Nam, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department, said: Implementing the peak plan to ensure traffic order and safety during the Lunar New Year, the department coordinated and organized simultaneous patrols and inspections throughout the province; as a result, in the past month, 1,853 violations were recorded (including 313 cases of drunk driving), 1,588 administrative violations were fined, over 3.33 billion VND was collected for the state budget, and 306 driving licenses were revoked. With the determination to curb and reduce traffic accidents and congestion, ensuring safe and convenient traffic conditions for people to enjoy the Lunar New Year, the department will strengthen traffic patrols and controls in the coming period, especially during peak hours and on key traffic routes; resolutely handling violations in the spirit of "no forbidden zones, no exceptions".

At the Vinh Hai Border Guard Station (Ninh Hai district), the unit is also busy carrying out patrol, guard, and combat readiness duties while organizing Tet celebrations with the Raglai people in Vinh Hai commune (Ninh Hai district) and Cong Hai commune (Thuan Bac district). Major Truong Anh Tuan, Political Officer of the Vinh Hai Border Guard Station, said: In accordance with the directive on implementing the Tet holiday tasks for the Year of the Dragon 2024 from higher authorities, the unit has developed and implemented a combat readiness duty plan for each officer and soldier; limited leave and short breaks; organized training exercises on protecting targets on land and at sea; coordinated with other units to agree on anticipated situations and assigned forces to be on serious duty with the determination to prevent any passive or unexpected situations. Simultaneously, the unit is also preparing the "Spring Border Guard: Warming the Hearts of the People" activity for poor people in the area with contents such as: Presenting the national flag to fishermen; The station provided guidance on displaying the national flag and portraits of President Ho Chi Minh to the Raglai people, organized a "Zero-Cost Booth" to give gifts to poor households; held competitions in making banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes), flower arranging, preparing five-fruit trays, a culinary competition, and cultural exchanges with the people in Cau Gay village. Through this program, the station sent 200 pairs of banh chung and 220 packages of essential goods to poor households in its area of ​​responsibility, with a total value of 46 million VND, and awarded 16 scholarships to poor students in the "Helping Children Go to School" program with a total value of 16 million VND, contributing to helping the people have a warmer and more prosperous Tet holiday.

Along with the Provincial Police and the Provincial Border Guard, the Provincial Military Command also prioritizes ensuring the safety of the people during the Lunar New Year holiday. Colonel Nguyen Tuy, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, said: To ensure combat readiness during the Lunar New Year, the Provincial Military Command has directed units and forces to strengthen training in on-site combat plans, marching and movement alerts, and mobility training; coordinating crime prevention, fire prevention, rescue, and relief... At the same time, they are closely coordinating with localities to patrol, guard, and protect targets and locations where activities celebrating the Party and the New Year are held, as well as festivals with large gatherings of people before, during, and after the Lunar New Year. The officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces clearly understand their responsibilities and are determined to successfully complete their assigned tasks.

With the highest sense of responsibility, officers and soldiers of the armed forces in the province have been silently performing their duties day and night on the roads, in various areas, and at activities and festivals celebrating the new spring, serving the people. They set aside their personal joys to share in the joy of the people, contributing to ensuring that the people can celebrate Tet and the spring in a warm, peaceful, and fulfilling way.
