Portrait of the new member of the Party Central Committee, Le Minh Tri

Today (August 16), the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam met to review and give opinions on personnel matters.

The Central Committee of the Party elected Mr. Le Minh Tri, member of the Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Director of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, as a member of the Secretariat.

New member of the Party Central Committee Le Minh Tri

Mr. Le Minh Tri was born in 1960 in Tan Thong Hoi commune, Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City. He holds a high-level political theory qualification and a Bachelor's degree in Public Security and a Bachelor's degree in Law.

Mr. Le Minh Tri is a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, 12th and 13th terms. He is a Member of Parliament for the 14th and 15th terms. He is the Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.

Career path of the newly appointed member of the Party Central Committee, Le Minh Tri:

- October 1981 - October 1986: Student at the People's Security University (now the People's Security Academy).

- October 1986 - August 1990: Party Committee Member, Deputy Team Leader; Party Branch Secretary, Deputy Head of Security Staff Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police.

- August 1990 - April 1992: Deputy Head of Department A12b, Ministry of Interior, Secretary to the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior (now the Ministry of Public Security).

- April 1992 - March 2000: Seconded officer with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Security force, Secretary to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

- March 2000 - January 2003: Deputy Chief of the Office of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

- January 2003 - August 2005: Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of District 11, Ho Chi Minh City.

- August 2005 - January 2010: Member of the City Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

- January 2010 - April 2013: Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

- April 2013 - December 2015: Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Internal Affairs Commission.

- January 2016 - April 2016: Member of the Central Committee of the 12th Party Congress, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Internal Affairs Commission.

- April 2016 - January 2021: Member of the Central Committee of the 12th Party Congress, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Director of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.

- January 2021: Member of the Central Committee of the 13th Party Congress, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Supreme People's Procuratorate; Member of the 15th National Assembly.

- July 2021: Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy for the term 2021-2026.

- On August 16, 2024, in Hanoi, the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam elected Mr. Le Minh Tri, a member of the Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Director of the Supreme People's Procuracy, as an additional member of the Party Secretariat.
