Chief of the Central Party Office receives the Singaporean Ambassador.

On the afternoon of March 6th, Comrade Pham Gia Tuc, Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Chief of the Central Party Office, received Ambassador Rajpal Singh of Singapore who paid a courtesy visit to begin his term in Vietnam.

Welcoming Ambassador Rajpal Singh to his new post in Vietnam, Mr. Pham Gia Tuc expressed his confidence that, with his extensive diplomatic experience, the Ambassador would make a significant impact during his term in Vietnam, contributing positively to promoting friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries.

Comrade Pham Gia Tuc emphasized that Singapore is a close friend and key economic partner, having actively supported Vietnam in its regional and international integration process. He affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State always value cooperative relations with Singapore and the People's Action Party of Singapore, and wish to continuously cultivate and deepen the newly established Comprehensive Strategic Partnership framework, making it more effective and bringing practical benefits to the people of both countries.

Highly appreciating the outstanding results in bilateral cooperation in the past period, especially the regular high-level visits and contacts at all levels through all channels, and the continued bright spot in economic, trade, and investment cooperation, Comrade Pham Gia Tuc suggested that the two countries continue to strengthen mutual understanding, consolidate political trust, and effectively utilize existing cooperation frameworks, aiming for more substantive and profound relationships. This includes effectively implementing the Action Program on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the period 2025-2030 and the commitments and cooperation agreements reached during recent high-level visits.

Regarding cooperation through the Party channel, Comrade Pham Gia Tuc emphasized that Vietnam wishes to further strengthen cooperation with the People's Action Party of Singapore, as a political foundation to guide comprehensive cooperation between the two countries; proposed that the two Parties soon implement a Strategic Dialogue mechanism; strengthen exchanges between high-level leaders of the two Parties, young leaders, and mass organizations; and promote the exchange and sharing of visions on national development, addressing socio-economic issues, and responding to the rapid changes in the regional situation.

Ambassador Rajpal Singh expressed his sincere gratitude to Comrade Pham Gia Tuc for taking the time to meet with him. He congratulated Vietnam on successfully organizing the 14th National Congress of the Party and on Comrade Pham Gia Tuc's election to the Politburo and the Secretariat for the new term. He also expressed his confidence that, along with the consolidation of the state apparatus after the first session of the 16th National Assembly, Vietnam will make strong breakthroughs in the new era and successfully achieve the two centenary goals.

Affirming that there is still great potential for cooperation, the Ambassador agreed with the directives of the Chief of the Central Party Office on bilateral relations; emphasizing that he will make every effort to promote bilateral cooperation, not only in traditional fields, but also in new growth areas, including the development of the second generation VSIP with high scientific and technological content, connecting clean energy through wind power projects, sustainable urban development, carbon credit exchange, development of international financial centers, seaports, etc.; and to soon implement the Strategic Dialogue mechanism in 2026 as well as expand cooperation in training high-quality human resources for Vietnam.

The Ambassador affirmed the commitment to further promote coordination and close support between the two countries at multilateral forums, including the ASEAN Future Forum 2026, as well as to effectively leverage cooperation in 2027 when Vietnam hosts APEC and Singapore holds the ASEAN chairmanship.
