Pork offal porridge is ranked 6th in the list of 33 best porridges in Asia, with 3.9 points. The ranking also includes other Vietnamese porridges such as beef porridge (rank 17), duck porridge (21) and chicken porridge (24).
Pork offal porridge is made from white rice, combined with broth from bones and other pork offal such as liver, kidneys, spleen, intestines or heart, and, of course, boiled blood. "The dish is always served hot, and can be eaten with additional boiled pork offal," Taste Atlas describes the dish in its list published at the end of April.

Diners often enjoy it with fried dough sticks, scallions, herbs, dipping sauce, and a sprinkle of pepper and chili powder. Pork offal porridge is a nutritious, affordable dish that is loved throughout the country.
Not only is it ranked 6th among the best porridges in Asia, but pork offal porridge is also ranked 19th out of 127 porridges worldwide . However, it was once listed by Taste Atlas as one of the worst Vietnamese dishes in March 2024.
