Xa Junction (Tam Giang Commune, Yen Phong District, Bac Ninh) is the confluence of the Cau and Ca Lo rivers, bordering the three provinces of Bac Giang, Bac Ninh and Hanoi .
There is also the Tam Giang Saint Temple, which is also the origin of the divine poem "Nam Quoc Son Ha" (Southern Country Mountains) during the second war against the Song army (1075-1077), considered the first Declaration of Independence of our country.
In addition to historical and cultural sedimentary imprints, this place also has a hundred-year-old cotton tree that blooms in late spring (lunar March), attracting many people to take photos and check-in.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh (born in 1987, in Thai Nguyen ) shared that while surfing Facebook, he saw many people posting pictures of the cotton tree at Xa intersection, so he and his family drove from Thai Nguyen to take pictures and save the beautiful moments.
“The five of us arrived just in time for beautiful sunshine. The cotton trees were in full bloom at this time, and we were able to take many satisfying photos. There are rivers and ancient cotton trees here, so there are many beautiful angles, so many people came to take photos,” said Hoang Anh.
Like Mr. Hoang Anh, many people heard that the cotton tree was blooming and immediately came to take beautiful pictures.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly (in Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang ) shared that her house is on the other side of the river. Every time the cotton flowers bloom, she and her children take the ferry across the river just to take pictures.
"I have taken photos in many places with cotton trees, but this is probably the most beautiful cotton tree I have ever seen. Here I feel the wildness of the river with the cool green natural scenery on the riverbank." Ms. Ly said.
Mr. Le Khac Khac Nghia, Head of the Xa Temple Festival Committee, said that the cotton tree at Xa intersection has a history of hundreds of years, located in the Xa Temple relic. Every year when the flowers bloom, tourists from all over flock here, cars line up on the small road leading to the river wharf, where the cotton tree stretches its branches and shows off its beauty.
“In the past, when I was herding cows and playing at the base of the kapok tree, I saw the tree trunk almost as big as it is today. In the past, people around the area would go to the temple and then visit the kapok tree. Now, on the contrary, young people from everywhere come to visit the kapok tree and then stop by the temple. A sacred tree on sacred temple land." Mr. Nghia said.
When the cotton trees are in full bloom, many professional photographers from all over flock here to "hunt" for beautiful pictures.
Many "amateur" photographers are also eager to take pictures and check-in next to the bright red flowers.
