The Master Chef of Foodex 2025 competition with the theme "Quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine " was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Trade and Tourism Promotion in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Food and Foodstuff Association from April 16 to 19, 2025. The competition attracted more than 100 contestants who are professional chefs, young chefs and culinary students from India, Malaysia, Taiwan and Vietnam. According to the regulations, contestants use Vietnamese agricultural products as ingredients to create international standard dishes through modern processing techniques. Through the competition, Chef Nguyen Van Dai won 1 Silver Medal and 1 Bronze Medal.
According to the representative of the Organizing Committee of the Master Chef of Foodex 2025 Competition, the competition not only contributes to honoring the role of creative workers in the culinary field, but also serves as a strategic bridge to bring Vietnamese cuisine to the world . The Master Chef of Foodex 2025 Competition is also an opportunity to select a chef to represent Vietnam to participate in the Culinary Olympics 2025, which will be held in November 2025, in Carrara (Italy).
