Previously, on the afternoon of June 28, when the event was only a few hours away, the organizers surprised the audience by announcing that Jason Derulo could not come to Ho Chi Minh City to perform due to health reasons. Ms. Thi Vo - the organizers' representative said that the organizers had paid Jason Derulo's entire fee. According to the contract, Jason was scheduled to arrive in Vietnam on June 26 (2 days before the show), but then the date was continuously postponed.
“Jason’s crew of 30 people arrived in Vietnam on June 26, mainly dancers. Jason said he would take the flight to Ho Chi Minh City on June 26. Later, Jason changed the arrival date to June 27, scheduled to arrive at 2:55 p.m. The male artist then asked to postpone it to June 28, arriving at 10:55 a.m. When the organizers came to pick him up, they only saw Jason’s management team of 2 people,” said Ms. Thi Vo.

"According to the contract, the organizers paid 100% of the show's fee, all stage standards including sound and lighting were agreed upon by both parties after 1 month of meetings.
