The top spot goes to a restaurant in the Lower East Side of New York City. Even more surprisingly, the champion – Una Pizza Napoletana – only opened in March 2022.
They surpassed competitors around the world , including pizza parlors in Naples, Italy – the land of the world's most renowned pizza connoisseurs.

Additionally, three other New York pizza restaurants made the 2024 list, out of 101 restaurants (despite the award being called "top 50").
Nevertheless, Italy still dominates the list with 41 restaurants, while the US has a total of 15 honored locations. The city of Naples also leads with 20 locations on the list.
Although not particularly famous for pizza restaurants, South Korea, Bolivia, and India have also made the list this year.
