Route 14 – Phuoc Long Campaign
- It took place from December 17, 1974 to January 6, 1975.
- After 26 days and nights of fighting, we annihilated the entire puppet army, seized 5,000 weapons, shot down 5 aircraft, and liberated more than 50,000 people.
At 10:30 AM on January 6, 1975, the revolutionary flag flew atop the Phuoc Long Provincial Governor's residence.
The victory at Phuoc Long was a crucial "test," creating a strategic springboard for the 1975 Spring Offensive, paving the way for the Ho Chi Minh Campaign and the day of complete victory on April 30, 1975.
Beyond its historical significance, Phuoc Long is also a land rich in tourism potential with Ba Ra Mountain, Thac Mo Lake, Ong Nho Lake, Nguyen Thi Dinh Memorial Garden, rocky streams, and more.
The victory at Phuoc Long will forever remain a symbol of the strength of national unity and the aspiration for independence, freedom, and peace of the Vietnamese people.
