Four years after their debut album Through the Window , the band Chillies has just released their second studio album, Kim . The band also released a new music video , GOLD , starring singer Marzuz.
Chillies released these new products nearly half a year after releasing Winter Day, a song the group once considered as a greeting to close "a beautiful chapter of youth".

Chillies returns with a musical color quite different from their previous self. With their debut album Qua khung cua canh ( Through the window) and a series of hits Mascasra, Vung ki uoc (Memory Zone), Cu chill thoi (Just chill), Co em doi buon vui (With you) , the band has very good digital music achievements as well as playing many genres such as R&B, pop, synthpop to alternative rock.
With the EP On the Clouds (2023) , the group continues to explore emotional depth through alternative and pop rock sound materials. The project, accompanied by a concert series of the same name in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, attracted more than 12,000 spectators, a memorable milestone in Chillies' 5-year journey.

Since then, Chillies have appeared at many major music festivals, concerts, and Vietnamese music and culture festivals in Korea, Japan, and the US. Sometimes they take on the role of closing the show (often considered the most important artist in that show).
But speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , the band admitted facing the challenge of reinventing themselves.
The band needed to release something new and this time it was disco music on their new album Kim. GOLD, the opening track, has a very glossy, sparkling and slightly ornate MV - different from the previous rustic, dusty image of Chillies.
When asked why this change happened, vocalist and main composer Tran Duy Khang replied: "We are starting to become uncles, but we don't want to be sloppy uncles, we want to become gentlemen."
With the new music, many audiences say Chillies reminds them of Bruno Mars. Duy Khang said: "It's natural for people to recognize Bruno Mars' influence on Chillies and me, because since I was little I've always liked songs with a lot of rhythm. Genres like R&B, soul, funky, all four members of Chillies played a lot when they were a cover band in bars."
If they continue to sing pop rock like Mascara, Memory Zone , the chance of success will be greater, but Chillies does not want to stay in the same place with a repetitive color.

End the show or not, that's not the point.
At the Dreamy Cities music festival in June, due to the convergence of many diverse music genres, Chillies was often chosen to close the show because their music straddles the indie and mainstream streams. But this year, the "Anh trai say hi" performed in large numbers and HIEUTHUHAI was the one to close the show.
Many Chillies audiences were surprised and disappointed because they thought the band deserved to be the show's closing artist.

But Chillies' thoughts are more "chill": "From 2023 to 2025, we are responsible for ending the show in many programs. And now we want to perform earlier. When we performed first at Dreamy Cities , we were very happy to go home early and sleep early. We are all grown up now, we need to sleep early."
For Chillies, the feeling of performing at 4pm and returning to the hotel at 5:30pm was strange. But they were happy because they realized they had more time for themselves instead of finishing the show at midnight.
"We are not sad or feel like we have lost something. We are happy for HIEUTHUHAI or Duong Domic because you have found your halo" - Duy Khang said.
