According to leaker Ice Universe, Samsung is considering exclusively using Snapdragon chips for the Galaxy S26 series to deliver excellent performance and energy efficiency.

However, this isn't the end for Samsung's Exynos chips, as Ice Universe also revealed that the company is still developing the next generation of Exynos chips. The new chip, codenamed "Ulysses," is intended for the Galaxy S27 series launching in 2027. It will be manufactured using Samsung Foundry's second-generation 2nm process (SF2P), and is expected to be ready by the end of 2026.
Previously, there were rumors that Samsung would choose both Exynos and Snapdragon chips (similar to the Galaxy S24 Series) for the Samsung Galaxy S25; however, Samsung recently confirmed that the company will only use Snapdragon chips for devices worldwide . The reason given is likely that Samsung did not achieve sufficient production volume and had to abandon the Exynos chip in favor of the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Sources indicate that Samsung is seeking to regain user trust in its Exynos chips with the Ulysses project. The hope is that the company will overcome the productivity issues associated with this project.
