Hanoi's Old Quarter Night Market is a unique and attractive shopping destination for locals and tourists every weekend, symbolizing the beauty of the capital's 36 ancient streets. Officially opened in 2003, the market operates on weekend evenings (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Located along famous streets in Hanoi, it stretches for 3 km and encompasses streets such as Hang Dao, Hang Ngang, Hang Duong, Hang Khoai, and Dong Xuan Market. It features numerous stalls offering a wide variety of products from clothing, toys, souvenirs, and handicrafts, as well as food stalls at affordable prices. It also hosts unique cultural and artistic performances by the Vietnam Musicians Association, such as Chau Van, Hat Cheo, and Ca Tru, for visitors.

Every three weekends, Hanoi's Old Quarter night market becomes a bustling gathering place for vendors and tourists from all over. With approximately 4000 stalls of all sizes, thousands of diverse items ranging from clothing, shoes, handicrafts, handmade products, and accessories such as hats, glasses, and bracelets, all are very reasonably priced. In 2024, the "Happy Vietnam" photo and video contest will continue to be organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists on the website.   https://happy.vietnam.vn is open to all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and above. The competition aims to honor individuals and groups with positive informational products that make practical contributions to promoting a beautiful image of Vietnam to the world. Through this, it helps people at home, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends access authentic images of Vietnam, its people, its achievements in ensuring human rights, and working towards a happy Vietnam. Each competition category (photos and videos) has the following prizes and prize values: – 1 Gold Medal: 70,000,000 VND – 2 Silver Medals: 20,000,000 VND – 3 Bronze Medals: 10,000,000 VND – 10 Consolation Prizes: 5,000,000 VND – 1 Most Voted entry: 5,000,000 VND. Winning authors will be invited by the Organizing Committee to attend the Award Ceremony and Certificate Presentation, broadcast live on Vietnam Television.
