Ms. Ton Nu My Hanh started working at Hwaseung Rach Gia Co., Ltd. in February 2019, handling recruitment for the human resources department. In October 2022, she transferred to work in the Trade Union. Although her time involved in Trade Union activities has not been long, she quickly became a familiar face in the movements launched by the Provincial Federation of Labor. At conferences, she has repeatedly offered heartfelt suggestions for the benefit of union members and workers.

Ms. Hanh shared: “I am honored to have the trust of the workers and the confidence of the collective, so I always remind myself to strive to learn and do well in my role as a trade union official. The company still faces many difficulties, and I want to do more so that each union member and worker is heard, protected, and thus committed to the company and develops together with it.”
Hwaseung Rach Gia Co., Ltd. is a 100% foreign-invested enterprise with 6,618 employees, including 6,617 union members. To harmonize the interests of both employees and the company, Ms. Hanh always prioritizes negotiation and the signing of collective labor agreements. “I put the employees at the center, listening to and gathering opinions through various channels. After understanding their aspirations, I research feasibility, compare it with similar businesses, and consider the issue from both the employee's and the company's perspectives. For a proposal to be accepted, it must have sound reasoning, anticipate potential issues, and find a harmonious solution in a spirit of cooperation, goodwill, and aiming for sustainable development,” Ms. Hanh said.
Thanks to the implemented solutions, the collective labor agreement between the company and the grassroots trade union contains many provisions that are more favorable to employees than legal regulations, creating trust and cohesion among the workforce. Accordingly, the periodic salary increase is implemented every 12 months, with a minimum difference of 2.5% between levels. Many allowances such as skill allowance, job allowance, seniority allowance, childcare allowance, living allowance, travel allowance, attendance bonus, 13th-month salary, gifts commemorating the company's founding anniversary, support for visiting employees, etc., are all included in the collective labor agreement. Female employees also receive gifts from the employer every month; employees who get married are entitled to 5 days of leave, 2 days more than legally stipulated.
Chairman of the Provincial Labor Union, Do Tran Thinh, commented that Ms. Ton Nu My Hanh is not only a union official but also a dedicated "keeper of the flame." According to him, when a business develops, the lives of workers become more stable; conversely, when workers are properly cared for, they will have more motivation to contribute. "Although she hasn't been involved in union work for long, with her passionate, dynamic, and insightful yet skillful heart, Ms. Hanh has affirmed the character of an exemplary union official. The foundation of all her actions is her thorough understanding of the relationship between workers and businesses, skillfully placing the interests of union members within the sustainable development of the company," Mr. Do Tran Thinh emphasized.
With sincerity and a sense of responsibility, Ms. Hanh, along with the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Hwaseung Rach Gia Co., Ltd., has developed many practical activities, becoming a reliable bridge between the enterprise and its employees. The company's trade union and Ms. Hanh have received numerous commendations from the Provincial Federation of Labor for their outstanding achievements in trade union activities.
Recently, Ms. Hanh, an outstanding grassroots trade union official, participated in a series of events commemorating the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day in Hanoi . At the ceremony, she was honored by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as an outstanding grassroots trade union official in collective dialogue and negotiation work for the period 2023-2025. “This is a great honor. But for me, this is not a personal achievement, but the result of the unity between the trade union organization, the enterprise, and the workers. This award reminds me to strive even harder to be worthy of the collective trust,” Ms. Hanh shared.
