During the Cho Lach Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival, taking place from January 8th to 12th, 2025, the locality will set a record for the longest community-created flower and ornamental plant route in Vietnam, with a length of 15 km.

On December 15th, the People's Committee of Cho Lach District (Ben Tre Province) held a press conference about the Cho Lach Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival in Ho Chi Minh City. According to the press, the festival will feature a variety of programs and activities including exhibitions, competitions, cultural and artistic events, culinary delights, and entertainment, all reflecting the rich flavors of the Mekong Delta. Of particular interest is the attempt to establish a record for the longest community-created flower and ornamental plant street in Vietnam.

This route includes district roads 34, 35, and 37, spanning 15 km, and features characteristic trees such as red-leaved trees, juniper, bougainvillea, and chrysanthemums. Here, visitors can freely take stunning photos for the Lunar New Year without any charge.

It not only enhances the value of Cho Lach's flower and ornamental plant brand but also introduces and promotes the beauty of Cho Lach's culture, history, people, and landscape to friends near and far. Cho Lach is known not only as the largest producer of plant seedlings in the country but also as a kingdom of flowers and ornamental plants.

To prepare for the festival, the local authorities trained residents in tourism and organized a competition for creating beautiful green fences and gates in four communes. "Rural tourism is primarily agricultural ; Cho Lach is famous for its ornamental plants, so that's the direction we want our farmers to take, combining agriculture with tourism," shared a leader of the Cho Lach District People's Committee.
