Based on the model of the "Lottery Market" in Tan Binh.

Recently, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of La Gi Ward, in coordination with VietinBank , the Management Board of Binh An 1 residential area, and the Tan Binh Market Management Board, organized the launch ceremony of the "Digital Market" model at Tan Binh Market, La Gi Ward. The launch event was lively with many practical activities such as signing commitments between the Market Management Board and traders, distributing QR payment codes to business owners, and guiding people to experience cashless payments.

At the program, Mr. Nguyen Vu Vuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of La Gi Ward emphasized: "Digital transformation is not something too far-fetched, but starts with very specific things such as: each stall having a QR code, each small business owner knowing how to use a smartphone to transact and sell goods on social media platforms, and each citizen gradually becoming familiar with electronic payments. Simultaneously, it is important to enhance the ability to defend against and avoid being scammed in the online information environment."

The Tan Binh "Digital Market" model was built with the goal of supporting small traders in accessing technology, gradually changing traditional business methods to modern ones. It facilitates cashless payments, quick, convenient, and safe buying and selling. At the same time, it contributes to building the image of a civilized and modern traditional market while still preserving the warm and friendly atmosphere of Vietnamese market culture.

Speaking on behalf of small traders at Tan Binh Market, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy shared that initially, many were hesitant to embrace digital transformation, electronic payments, or QR codes. However, after receiving specific guidance, they realized that applying technology brings many practical benefits such as: faster payments, reduced risk of carrying large amounts of cash, easier management of sales, and a more civilized image for their stalls.

Scaling up the Community Digital Transformation model.

Based on the pilot model at Tan Binh Market, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of La Gi Ward has developed a plan to implement the "Digital Market" model in the ward with a specific roadmap and objectives. According to the plan, the model will be implemented with traders, business households, and residents at the center of the digital transformation process. Implementation will follow the motto "Go to each stall, guide each household," ensuring it is easy to understand, easy to implement, and suitable to the actual conditions of traders and residents.

One of the key aspects of the model is the implementation of the "4T" learning model, which includes: "Small businesses - E-commerce - Cashless payments - Digital savings". Through this, business owners are guided on using smartphones for buying and selling; creating QR codes for payments, linking bank accounts and e-wallets; and posting products for sale on Zalo, Facebook, and other suitable e-commerce platforms.

In May 2026, La Gi ward aims to ensure that 100% of businesses at Tan Binh market are informed about the "Digital Market" model; at least 80% of households have QR code payment systems; at least 50% of households know how to promote their products on digital platforms; and at least 80% of small traders are educated on skills to prevent digital fraud. Following the pilot implementation at Tan Binh market, La Gi ward will conduct a preliminary review and evaluation of effectiveness to further expand the model to other markets, trading points, commercial streets, and residential areas in the ward from June 2026 onwards. The model will also be linked to the "Digital Family" and "Digital Citizen" movements, contributing to the deeper development of digital transformation in the community, added the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of La Gi ward.

From a familiar traditional market, the "Digital Market" is opening up a new approach to building digital life at the grassroots level. Not only does it help small traders adapt to modern development trends, but the model also contributes to forming civilized and secure payment habits, gradually making digital transformation a familiar part of daily life.
