| The completed project will address the current erosion problem. |
The project is funded by the state budget, with the Phong Thai Ward Public Service Center acting as the investor. Of the total project budget of 11 billion VND, construction accounts for over 8.6 billion VND; land clearance costs amount to 600 million VND. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2029.
According to the design, the project will implement construction items belonging to group C, level IV in the field of agriculture and rural development. Specifically, it will construct an anti-erosion embankment over 503m long, combined with the expansion and upgrading of the existing concrete road over 548m long. Many sections of the embankment are designed with dry-laid stone slopes combined with reinforced concrete bracing frames, and the embankment base is reinforced with gabions to increase erosion resistance and ensure long-term riverbank stability.
In addition to the main embankment system, the project also includes the construction of three new water terminals for local residents' daily needs, along with three reinforced concrete drainage culverts. The combined road on top of the embankment has been widened to a 5-meter-wide concrete surface, contributing to the improvement of the area's transportation infrastructure and facilitating easier travel for residents.
The leaders of Phong Thai ward expect that, after the project is completed, it will contribute to mitigating the complex landslide situation during the rainy season, helping hundreds of households in the area and surrounding areas to stabilize their lives and develop long-term production.
