In Khanh Khe commune, the whole commune has 11 schools with nearly 2,500 students, all schools have fully prepared to welcome students. Present at Dong Giap Primary - Secondary School, we saw that the school had completed cleaning classrooms and decorating for the festival since the beginning of August. Mr. Trieu Quang Trung, the school's principal, said: In the 2025-2026 school year, the school has 360 students. From the beginning of August, we mobilized all teachers and staff to clean, wipe tables and chairs, and check equipment. Up to now, the facilities are basically complete, 14 classrooms at the main school are equipped with smart TVs for learning, and the school has projectors to support teaching.
For high schools, preparations for the new school year are also being actively carried out. For example, Loc Binh High School, although still facing difficulties in classrooms (this school year, there are 1,480 students with 36 classes, the school only has 26 classrooms), the school has a plan to ensure teaching and learning. Ms. Vi Thi Kim Thu, Principal of the school shared: “To ensure the conditions for organizing teaching and learning, we have developed a plan to organize classes all day on Saturday, flexibly arrange extracurricular activities, and coordinate with Loc Binh Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center to borrow classrooms when needed. The school also prepares to support books, school supplies for disadvantaged students and guides life skills for students who have to rent rooms.”
In highland schools with many boarding students, the school also pays attention to preparing accommodation and living conditions for students. At Kien Moc Primary Boarding School I (Kien Moc Commune), Ms. Nong Thi Binh, Vice Principal of the school, said: The whole school has 157 students, of which about 100 students registered for lunch at school and nearly 50 students are boarding students. Recently, teachers and parents have coordinated to clean 3 dormitories, wash blankets, and repair old and broken equipment to welcome students to the new school year. The school also arranged 2 catering staff to serve meals to the students, and the Board of Directors also assigned teachers on duty to promptly support students.
Identifying the teaching staff as a key factor. During the past summer, the Department of Education and Training (DoET) organized training for 100% of key staff and teachers; at the same time, it required schools to continue training for all teachers, focusing on applying information technology and initially introducing knowledge about artificial intelligence into professional activities, creating initiative right from the beginning of the school year. According to statistics, the current teacher-to-class ratio of the province for preschool level is 1.82 people/class; primary school 1.44; secondary school 1.85; high school 2.09. This is an important basis for implementing two-session teaching/day and implementing the new general education program. Notably, over 96% of managers and teachers have met the training standards according to the 2019 Education Law, many of whom have met the standards.
In addition, since the beginning of summer, the Department of Education and Training has issued a document guiding units to prepare for the new school year. The instructions include: checking and reviewing facilities; repairing and supplementing essential equipment; covering construction works for safety; advising local authorities to rearrange facilities from administrative agencies after the merger for schools, ensuring each class has a classroom to teach two sessions/day. At the same time, the department requires schools to develop a revenue and expenditure plan at the beginning of the school year in accordance with regulations, suitable for socio -economic conditions, and promote creativity in decorating classrooms in association with local culture.
Ms. Phan My Hanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said: “To prepare for the new school year, the Department has directed schools to mobilize maximum resources, focusing on socialization to invest in facilities and educational activities. The units proactively develop working regulations, school rules, and enhance innovation in teaching methods and forms. The goal is to create a safe, friendly, and community-connected learning environment.”
Up to this point, most of the preparations for the new school year have been completed; 100% of key staff and teachers have been trained in professional skills and technology application, and are ready to implement the new program. The work of decorating the festival, gathering students at the beginning of the school year to get acquainted with the school, instructing on discipline, and general cleaning of the campus have been carried out simultaneously... Educational institutions in the province are ready to enter the new school year with a proactive spirit and high determination.
