Landslide in Tan Thanh commune collapsed a newly built house.

At 8:00 a.m. on August 26, in Mien Tay village, Tan Thanh commune, a landslide with a volume of about 300m3 of soil collapsed a level IV house, with an area of ​​about 90m2, of the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, a near-poor household with 2 members.

Ms. Hoa's house was just inaugurated and put into use on July 17, 2025, with support from the temporary housing demolition campaign launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The landslide did not cause any human casualties.

Tan Thanh commune leaders visited and encouraged the family.

Immediately after the landslide, the Standing Party Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio -political organizations of Tan Thanh commune mobilized forces to move assets and organize visits to support and encourage households. The commune directed villages in the area to notify people to limit travel to dangerous locations, regularly monitor water levels to ensure safety for people and vehicles; propagate, mobilize and organize the relocation of households living in low-lying areas and areas at high risk of landslides to safe places; at the same time, coordinate to promptly handle emergencies when they occur.
