On the morning of November 29, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held the 1st Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2025-2030, at Binh Duong Exhibition Convention Center (Binh Duong ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
At the congress, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc presented a speech on the mechanisms and policies of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to create favorable conditions to consolidate and promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, contributing to building a city government close to the people, serving the people.
Comrade Nguyen Van Duoc said that over the years, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has always accompanied and considered the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations of Ho Chi Minh City as a particularly important "bridge" between the people and the government, and a core force in the great national unity bloc.
Coordinating and creating favorable conditions for the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to operate is not only a responsibility, but also a key factor in building a government "close to the people, by the people, of the people and for the people".
Therefore, in recent times, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has focused on implementing mechanisms and policies and creating the most favorable conditions for the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to truly promote its core role.
6 groups of tasks and solutions to promote the strength of national solidarity
To consolidate and promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, build a government close to the people, serve the people, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee clearly stated 6 groups of tasks and solutions.
In particular, perfecting the coordination mechanism between the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City in a more practical and effective direction, ensuring clear responsibilities, deadlines, and focal points.
At the same time, strengthen the organization of periodic dialogues between city leaders with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations of Ho Chi Minh City, religious dignitaries, overseas Vietnamese, businesses and people. Thereby, the city government has an additional channel to "listen to the breath of life", listen to the concerns of the people to consider and resolve promptly.
Establish a system to receive - process - respond to people's petitions in real time, integrated with public service portal and smart urban applications.
At the same time, promote the role of the people in urban construction and management. Create a mechanism for people to contribute ideas, feedback, and directly contribute to urban space planning, traffic, environment, and housing improvement.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also said that the City is promoting administrative reform and digital transformation; considering this a measure of people's satisfaction; assessing people's satisfaction is linked to the responsibility of the leader. Ho Chi Minh City strives to be in the top 10 localities in administrative reform.
The city strengthens social security policies, focusing on people. Expands housing support policies for low-income people and workers; encourages the development of cultural institutions serving workers. Focuses on improving the quality of primary health care , public schools, and basic social services to reduce disparities between areas in the city.
For Ho Chi Minh City to develop rapidly and sustainably, worthy of the expectations of the Party Committee, the government and the trust of the people of the city and the whole country, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee emphasized that the decisive factor is still the strength of great national unity and the consensus between the government and the people.
In particular, Ho Chi Minh City has a population of 14 million, so the great national solidarity bloc becomes the most important endogenous resource, determining political stability, social consensus and development.
