Straw mushrooms sell for high prices

(CT) - Compared to about a month ago, the price of straw mushrooms in Can Tho City and many provinces in the Mekong Delta has increased by 5,000-15,000 VND/kg and is at a fairly high level. The price of round straw mushrooms (bud mushrooms) sold by farmers in many places to traders and mushroom purchasing warehouses is 60,000-75,000 VND/kg, long mushrooms (umbrella mushrooms) are priced at 35,000-45,000 VND/kg. Currently, round straw mushrooms are retailed at many markets and supermarkets at 80,000-105,000 VND/kg, long mushrooms are 60,000-70,000 VND/kg. The price of straw mushrooms has increased due to increased demand and limited supply of straw mushrooms in many localities.
