Can Tho welcomes international famtrip delegation

(CTO) - On November 30, Can Tho welcomed an international famtrip delegation to survey tourism products and connect with businesses in the city.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City and leaders of the Mekong Delta Tourism Association presented gifts and took souvenir photos with the international famtrip delegation.

The international famtrip group has 42 tourism businesses from Malaysia and the Philippines, organized by the Vietnam Tourism Association and the Mekong Delta Tourism Association in coordination with provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region. This activity aims to survey the typical tourist destinations and products of the Mekong Delta region, connect with the international market, and aim to reach the target of 25 million international visitors in 2025.

Accordingly, the famtrip delegation surveyed tourist destinations in the Mekong Delta from November 26 to 30. In Can Tho , the delegation surveyed typical destinations: Cai Rang floating market, Son islet... and at the same time connected and exchanged with local travel agencies and businesses.

We hope to receive the sharing and comments of delegates from the famtrip delegation on Can Tho's tourism products and services to gradually improve and serve better. At the same time, we commit to creating the most favorable conditions for international travel agencies to research, develop the market and bring tourists to Can Tho; as well as link to develop tourism, ensure service quality, safety and friendliness”.

In the first 11 months of 2025, Can Tho welcomed more than 10.5 million visitors, up 20% over the same period. Of which, the number of tourists staying at the hotel reached nearly 4.7 million, up 27% over the same period. Total revenue from tourism reached VND9,300 billion, up 20% over the same period.
