Training on policy communication and speaking skills, providing information to the press

DNO - On the morning of November 27, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired a training conference on "Policy communication and speaking skills, providing and processing information for the press in 2025" for heads and spokespeople of agencies, units and localities of the city.

The conference was held directly at the City Administrative Center and connected online to communes, wards and special zones across the area.

At the conference, the reporters presented legal documents related to policy communication, speaking and providing information to the press; skills in building and implementing effective policy communication; communication skills, answering interviews, providing information to the press; experience in handling information, methods of resolving media crises, etc.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized the particularly important role of policy communication in creating social consensus and improving the effectiveness of implementing major policies and guidelines of the city.

At the same time, direct agencies and units to continue to raise awareness and responsibility of leaders in speaking and providing information to the press; carefully study the provisions of the 2016 Press Law, Decree No. 09/2017/ND-CP of the Government and instructions of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to make statements and provide press information in accordance with regulations and procedures.

The conference was held in the context of implementing the organization arrangement, merging administrative units and perfecting the two-level local government system.

These changes place higher demands on policy communication, information provision and speaking, to ensure timely, accurate and consistent information, and to limit incidents and communication crises.
