BAC NINH - On the afternoon of November 27, the survey delegation of the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Bac Ninh province, led by comrade Tran Thi Hang, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, surveyed the implementation of state management tasks at the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The survey shows that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism effectively implements the Resolution on building and developing Bac Ninh culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable development. Directs, urges and guides agencies, units and localities to well organize propaganda activities to serve the holidays and anniversaries of the country and the province.

The activities of affiliated units continue to have many innovations in implementing propaganda, displaying, exhibiting and organizing cultural and artistic activities; participating and winning many high prizes at national competitions and festivals in 2025.

Heritage conservation work has been promoted. The Department has appraised and submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for approval of funding support for the restoration of 95 relics; organized nearly 30 exhibitions, attracting more than 110,000 visitors to museums.

By October 2025, 16 relics will be ranked at the provincial level, 5 cultural heritages will be recognized, of which the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son and Kiep Bac relic and scenic complex will be recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage; 4 heritages will be included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List (Lim Festival, Cheo Art, Soong Co of San Diu people, Tho Ha rice paper making craft).

The mass sports movement is widely maintained, the whole province has about 41% of people regularly exercising, there are 6,420 sports clubs. Regarding high-performance sports, Bac Ninh Sports Training and Competition Center No. 1 and No. 2 train 35 sports with a total of more than 800 athletes. In the 10 months of 2025, Bac Ninh athletes participated in more than 140 national and international tournaments, winning 1,480 medals, including 26 international gold medals.

Tourism propaganda, promotion and advertising work has been innovated and comprehensive with many new forms of propaganda combining traditional methods and digital technology platforms. Many documents have been issued to direct tourist areas, destinations and tourism service businesses to prepare well for welcoming tourists during the festival season, holidays, and festivals...

Coordinate with localities to direct relic sites, tourist attractions and services in the area to carry out many activities to promote tourism development. The total number of tourists in 2025 is estimated at 6,300,000, an increase of 26% compared to 2024 and reaching 112.5% ​​of the plan. Total tourism revenue is VND 5,500 billion, an increase of 13% compared to 2024 and reaching 105% of the plan.

In the field of information, press and publishing, the Department coordinates with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee to organize regular press meetings; maintain the editing of daily press bulletins; promote propaganda of political tasks, especially the arrangement of local government organization at two levels after the merger. The work of inspecting publishing, distribution and grassroots information activities is seriously implemented.

Up to now, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has consulted on the drafting of 6 resolutions to be submitted to the Provincial People's Council for promulgation; registered to develop 2 new resolutions in the 2026 program.

Delegates discussed and clarified a number of issues on: Planning and development of community tourism spots; management and professional guidance; mobilizing social resources and people's participation in developing cultural, sports and tourism activities; restoration and embellishment of historical and cultural relics; building key tourism products; the current status of sports institutions at the grassroots level, especially in industrial parks; annual evaluation of cultural family and cultural residential area titles; building and implementing provincial policies on culture, sports and tourism; criteria for evaluating original quan ho villages and quan ho practice villages; treatment regime for artisans in the field of intangible culture...

Speaking here, comrade Tran Thi Hang affirmed that Bac Ninh is an ancient land, rich in traditional values, historical and cultural relics, and has great potential for tourism. Emphasizing the role of culture as an endogenous strength, a driving force for socio-economic development, she requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to actively and proactively advise the province to optimally exploit the cultural potential and strengths of the locality; build and develop a culture worthy of tradition.

Pay attention to building the province's key tourism products of national and international stature; continue to preserve and promote the value of cultural heritage. In the immediate future, focus on promoting the 14th National Party Congress; proactively develop a plan to organize the Heritage Festival in 2026; deploy the 1st Bac Ninh Provincial Sports Festival in 2026; have a plan to train and practice to participate in the National Sports Festival to achieve high results.
