Petrolimex donates water filters to poor people in Dien Bien province

Petrolimex coordinated with the Dien Bien Provincial Red Cross Society, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and SIPCO Company to present 600 ECOZEN-25 water filters to households facing difficulties in clean water sources.

600 ECOZEN-25 water filters were given to poor households in Dien Bien province, with priority given to those severely affected by storms and floods. The program was implemented with the local Red Cross to help people soon have a safe water source for daily use.

The ceramic core filter is capable of removing bacteria and impurities according to medical standards, compact, does not use electricity or fuel, the filtered water can be drunk directly, a practical solution for areas lacking infrastructure. This is also a remarkable step in the effort to reduce emissions and commit to Net Zero of Vietnam's leading energy enterprise.

At the program, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union, expressed his deep sympathy for the losses of Dien Bien people after the storm and flood. The compact water filters today are the heart of Petrolimex collective sent to the people, with the desire to support households to protect their health, prevent epidemics and restart their daily lives.

According to him, sharing with the community is the responsibility of a large energy corporation, and at the same time a long-term commitment that Petrolimex always maintains: linking the sustainable development of the enterprise with the value of social security for people after natural disasters.

The water filter donation program continues to aim to support people in accessing safe drinking water, protecting their health and preventing diseases. This is a meaningful activity to celebrate the special milestone of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (1956 - 2026), affirming that it is the first Vietnamese enterprise to implement a large-scale water filter distribution program to concretize the action plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, towards the Group's carbon neutrality and Net Zero goals under the direction of the Government.
