WEF President sees Vietnam as a model, impressed with Prime Minister's message

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of WEF

In a friendly and open atmosphere, the Prime Minister highly appreciated Professor Schwab's vision and the important role of the WEF (Winter and Summer) in promoting global dialogue and cooperation, especially public-private cooperation. The Prime Minister congratulated the success of the WEF Dalian 2024 Conference, highly appreciated the theme "New Growth Horizons" which has inspired countries and businesses to constantly innovate and create, joining hands to build the economy of the future.

Professor Schwab expressed his pleasure to meet Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh again in China for the third consecutive time attending the WEF Annual Meeting. The WEF founder was impressed by the Prime Minister's messages at the Opening Plenary Session and the Prime Minister's sincerity and openness in his discussions with WEF's leading CEOs. He said that WEF and its member corporations highly appreciate Vietnam's prospects, investment and business environment, and outstanding economic achievements; and see Vietnam as a model of a strongly developing economy that effectively takes advantage of the opportunities of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution.

The two sides were pleased with the important developments in the cooperation relationship between Vietnam and WEF in recent times, especially the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the 2023-2026 period last year at the WEF Tianjin Conference. The two sides agreed to promote the effective implementation of the MOU and coordinate to turn the Industrial Revolution 4.0 Center in Ho Chi Minh City into a leading connection center in the region. WEF welcomed Vietnam's participation in the WEF Industrial Revolution 4.0 network and assessed this as an opportunity for Vietnam not only to share knowledge about technology but also to strengthen cooperation in science, technology and innovation.

On this occasion, Professor Schwab respectfully invited Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to attend the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos in 2025.
