On July 24, Mr. Chau Van Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with the Provincial Cooperative Union (CPU) on the implementation of collective economic sectors and the results of the organizational arrangement of the Provincial Cooperative Union after the merger of the province.

As of July 15, the province had 631 cooperatives with more than 88,160 members and over 12,000 employees working regularly in cooperatives. Of these, 575 cooperatives were operating, 56 cooperatives had ceased operations, 23 were newly established, and 9 were dissolved. Specifically, there were 416 agricultural cooperatives, 41 aquatic cooperatives, 36 industrial and handicraft cooperatives, 27 construction cooperatives, 36 trade and service cooperatives, 40 transport cooperatives, 6 other cooperatives, and 29 People's Credit Funds. The province currently has 5 cooperative unions operating with 36 member cooperatives and 3,150 cooperative groups.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Chau Van Hoa requested the Provincial Cooperative Union to promote the spirit of solidarity, mutual assistance, and support to complete tasks well; arrange and assign tasks clearly, in accordance with their strengths; focus on building a team of key cooperative officials in the province with quality and practical qualifications.
In addition, it is necessary to focus on improving the quality of cooperatives, reviewing inactive cooperatives to promptly consolidate them, and closely coordinating between the parties to support cooperatives to stabilize production and continue to contribute to local socio-economic development.
