At noon on June 27, Mr. Dinh Minh Canh (a motorbike taxi driver, residing in Binh Chanh district) drove a motorbike towing a cart that sucked up nails and sharp objects slowly on National Highway 1 (Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City).

Met a motorbike taxi driver at noon who sucked out nails so that candidates could take the exam safely.

After a distance of about 15km, Mr. Canh checked the car and found about 200 grams of sharp objects, mainly brake cables (each piece is about 1cm long).

Mr. Canh shared that for many years now, he has been voluntarily collecting nails and sharp objects on the road with the hope of keeping pedestrians safe.

As students enter the high school graduation exam this year, he increases the frequency of pulling a cart to suck up nails and sharp objects on the above road section.

Specifically, normally Mr. Canh pulls the nail suction cart 3-4 times a week, and on days when students take exams, the frequency is higher, "every day".

"The students' exams are very important. If a nail or sharp object accidentally gets stuck in the student's or parent's wheel while on the road, it could affect the exam. What I do is normal. As a citizen, I want to contribute a small part to help the students get to school more easily," Mr. Canh shared.

According to Mr. Canh, two days ago, he also pulled the car to suck up the brake cables like today, each day sucking up about 200 grams. If a motorbike runs over a brake cable like the one above, the tire may not deflate immediately, not as harmful as the "diamond shaped" pieces.

According to Mr. Canh, the diamond-shaped nails no longer appear on Highway 1 (through Binh Chanh District) because the Binh Chanh District Police have resolutely intervened.
